Invitation
KITH and EuroPACS 2006 are
proud to invite you to participate as sponsor or exhibitor at
EuroPACS 2006, The 24th European Congress on PACS, Medical Images
and Digital X-ray. The conference will be held in Trondheim, Norway from
June 15 through June 17, 2006
Since
EuroPACS was first held 24 years ago it has been organized regularly
every year in different cities around Europe. The host country of the
conference rotates and for the first time the conference will be in
Norway. Within 2006 nearly 100 % of the
hospitals in Norway will have digital x-ray with RIS and PACS installed,
making Norway one of the first countries in the world to be fully
digitized within x-rays.
EuroPACS is
now established as one of the major events in Europe in the field of
medical imaging and related technology. The core interest of the
EuroPACS Association is centred on medical images embedded in the
"integrated healthcare enterprise". The PACS-images could be from
radiology, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, surgery, cardiology or other
clinical fields.
The objective of the
Association is to promote the exchange of information in the fields of
research, user experience, implementation, assessment and audit of the
benefit of the development and the use of digital systems for the
acquisition, storage, transport, processing, display and reproduction of
medical pictures (Picture Archiving and Communications Systems, PACS)
and related technologies as well as their integration in the eHealth
context.
As with previous conferences, we
anticipate 400 - 500 attendees at this conference, who will be
interested in seeing vendor exhibits on PACS and RIS-systems, on eHealth
and on new technology and systems within this field. Physicians,
radiologists, radiographers, scientists and health care professionals
from around the world will gather to attend a program made up of
scientific and clinical sessions.
Trondheim’s
no. 1 conference hotel, The Radisson Royal Garden Hotel has been chosen
as the conference venue. Trondheim is a major University and Research
City with a modern University Hospital, and with excellent airline
connections via Oslo, Copenhagen and Amsterdam.
