Visit The New University Hospital in Trondheim

If you arrive early you can visit the New University Hospital in Trondheim on Wedensday
Guided tour twice a day (before and after noon) during the
conference
|
|
Patient terminal at the New
Hospital.
Patients get access to their own medical record together with
Internet-access, video, TV and phone on the same terminal. Advanced
information technology are a priority area for Trondheims new
hospital. In many respects IT is a prerequisite for achieving the
aims of the hospital development project. The university hospital’s
decentralized structure sets completely new requirements for digital
exchange of information and communication, while the hospital
application sets stringent demands on security and reliability. |

Enjoy the Great Outdoors in unspoiled nature
For around 135 years The Norwegian Mountain Touring Association (DNT)
has shown the way to the most magnificent experiences of Norwegian
scenery. The Norwegian wilderness lets you experience freedom and
solitude, far from noisy roads and frenetic cities. Since its foundation
in 1868 DNT has evolved into Norway`s biggest outdoor leisure
organisation, with local hiking associations all over the country. These
local associations mark the routes and operate the network of cabins so
hikers can safely enjoy the wonderful scenery while staying cheaply at
mountain cabins all over the country.
Mountain cabins all over Norway
Budget accomodation at more than 400 mountain cabins all
over Norway. Through the DNT-membership, members are also entitled to a
discount at privately owned cabins and mountain lodges incorp
The cabins vary from two-bunk cabins to the large
staffed mountain lodges that have room for up to 200 people.
Three categories of mountain cabins:
-
Staffed lodges
A total number of 43 lodges are staffed and have a service of
meals and accmodation in rooms with 2, 4 or more beds. Lodges
have simple but good facilities including electricity, a drying
room and WC in the corridor or outdoors. Most lodges offer
showers, a few have a sauna.
-
Self-service (provisioned) cabins
Smaller cabin, generally sleeping 5 to 25, often with
an extra "safety cabin" providing some extra space. The cabins
are unstaffed and are often locked with our standard key. It
contains plentiful supplies of tinned and freeze dried dinners,
crisp bread, spreads etc. The cabins are equipped with blankets
or duvets, but use of your own sheet or down sleeping bag is
mandatory. There is a fully-equipped kitchen with crockery,
cutlery and firewood. In high season the most frequent cabins
often have a warden.
