Credit Cards:
Major credit cards including American Express, Diners Club, Visa and
Mastercard are honored throughout Norway at hotels, stores and
restaurants. Taxis in Norway accept all major credit cards.

Dress:
Despite its 1,000 year history, Trondheim is a city young at heart.
Acceptable attire in Trondheim and for the convention is business casual.
Pack a sweater or light jacket for the evenings. Please note that
convention centre rooms vary in temperature--for your comfort, it is
recommended that you keep a light sweater or light jacket handy.
Electricity:
The electricity supply is 220 volts, 50-60 cycles. To operate small
travel appliances such as irons, hair dryers or electric shavers,
converters may be required.
Letter of Invitation (for visa requirements):
Upon request, EuroPACS 2006 will be pleased to send you an official
letter of invitation for you to participate in the Tventyfourth
International EuroPACS Conference. Such an invitation is intended to
assist participants in raising travel funds or obtaining a visa to enter
Norway. The letter of invitation issued by EuroPACS 2006 is not a
commitment from EuroPACS 2006 to provide any financial support nor does
it guarantee a visa.
Money Exchange:
The Norwegian Krone (NOK) is the national currency unit. Money can be
exchanged at the airport, major hotels and banks. Credit cards and
Traveler's checks are also widely accepted. Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs)
are conveniently located throughout Norway.
No Smoking Policy:
Smoking is not permitted in any indoor public areas including bars and
restaurants or on any means of public transportation.
Official Language: English is the

Passports and Visas:
All international visitors traveling to Norway must have a
valid passport. Check with the Norwegian Embassy/Consulate in your
country regarding any specific visa requirements and travel restrictions

Tipping:
A service charge is automatically added to hotel and restaurant bills.
Tipping for special services at hotels or superior service at
restaurants is appreciated.
Weather:
Norway is at its best and brightest from May to September. Late spring
is a particularly pleasant time - fruit trees are in bloom, daylight
hours are long, and the weather is mild. Summers are marked by the
phenomena of the midnight sun, especially north of the Arctic Circle. At
Nordkapp, in the far north, the sun stays out from 13 May to 29 July,
but nowhere in the country - even the far south, experiences true
darkness between late May and late July.
Certificate of Attendance:
All attendees will receive an official certificate of attendance from
EuroPACS 2006 verifying their participation at the conference.
