The Department of Imaging Sciences at the
University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry invites you to
attend its 6th Annual PACS Conference in San Antonio, TX at
The Westin Riverwalk Hotel on March 14-17, 2006. This four-day
conference entitled, “The Digital Healthcare Information and
Management Systems (DHIMS),” will provide opportunities for
attendees to experience the interaction of healthcare informatics with
the “how to” of implementing clinical data and imaging systems for
various clinical specialties including cardiology, pathology, radiation
oncology, radiology and visible light imaging.
PACS 2006 provides a unique learning
environment where attendees can interact with the conference faculty and
leading industry experts to learn from their achievements and mistakes
of how to get started, how to maintain and how to pre-empt obsolescence
of digital healthcare information systems. Approximately 60 vendors will
provide attendees with hands-on experience to interact with their data
and image management systems to demonstrate productivity increases and
error reduction. The program begins with a six-session Practicum that
will provide the foundation for understanding the more advanced topics
such as storage, security, re-engineering the workplace, retention of
medical records, clinical data systems and more planned for the final
two days of the conference. EuroPACS Delegates and attendees may
register for PACS 2006 at a discounted fee of $500 payable in US Dollars
(a savings of up to $195) by referencing EuroPACS on the registration
form.
